![]() Author Biography Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas (minors in Creative Writing and French). One year at The American University in Paris. Graduate work - Clinical Psychology, University of Arizona. Weight loss counselor and Math and English teacher before deciding to write fiction and nonfiction full time. Karen teaches in various venues including conferences, retreats and on cruise lines. Karen is also an amateur food scholar and in-home cooking instructor. Her literary cookbook is currently under contract with Skyhorse Publishing: Nature's Wrap: Cooking in Leaves; Recipes from Around the World Karen lives in Colorado with her husband from Taiwan and their two sons.
